As part of a recent shop from Haypp - I ordered myself some 'SWAVE' 'Daiquiri' flavoured nicotine pouches. SWAVE was a brand I've had my eye on for a while now - and it's only quite recently been available in the UK - so I was keen to be able to try these. SWAVE pouches are made on Gotland Island in Sweden.
Ingredients -
Water, fillers (E460), plant fiber, humectants (E422), flavorings, acidity regulators (E500, E509), salt, nicotine, emulsifiers (E471), sweeteners (E954).
I'll be reviewing the 'Daiquiri' flavour - but they also offer a 'Tropic Spritz' which is more of a pineapple type deal.
The first thing you've notice about these nicotine pouches is the extremely pungent aroma when you open the can! The pouches have a distinct daiquiri smell - with strong tones of melon and pear easily noticeable. There is a slight sting to the smell - but it remains appealing nonetheless.
The can is pretty cool design wise - with a waste disposal lid on the top as you'd expect. Ingredients are marked clearly on the back of the can - and it's made out of recyclable plastic.
The pouches are extremely soft to the pouch slim format - perhaps a little wider than some - but sit nicely in the mouth and don't cause any irritation. The taste and nicotine sensation are almost immediate - and whilst not as strong as its aroma - the taste is crisp and clear. The fruit flavours come across much clearer than the smell - and the melon and pear and clearly noticeable.
At 10mg/g in strength these pouches would be great for a beginner as the sweet flavour is likely to appeal to most. The taste didn't quite live up to the vivid aroma for me - and they're not pouches I'd use every day - but are a great fruity treat in a well-made pouch.
